Ei8ht Ball opened up the back of The Party Source in 2013 where they quietly did their thing for close to four years before owner Ken Lewis made the decision to close the brewery down to better focus on his other project, New Riff a distillery which was expanding. The brewery made a good name for themselves with some fantastic high alcohol beers as well as great barrel aging program.
The brewery lives on here in Cincinnati, not just with a few of it’s brewers making their way into other local places, but with the space too. In 2017 Braxton Brewing Company opened up their second space with Braxton Labs in the former Ei8ht Ball location.
You can hear a little more about Ei8ht Ball by listening to the episode of Cincy Brewcast where we chatted with the brewery, and of course drank a few beers too!
