Perfection is a combination of hard work and having the guts to change. It’s not always perfect the first time around and it takes determination to make every drop count. Revamp is an easy drinking American IPA that brings forward notes of tropical fruit flavor with a bright citrus aroma. The bitterness is more rounded than most, due to primarily late hop additions and dry hopping. Go ahead, enjoy your new go-to IPA.
There were a lot of people who were fans of Braxton’s ‘Crankshaft IPA‘ – when the brewery opened their doors it was their flagship, an IPA that was well-rounded and delicious. The problems with crankshaft ran the gamut from hard to source ingredients to a recipe that just didn’t get the hophead IPA fans excited. The tough decision was finalized in early 2017 to change the flagship IPA from Braxton and Revamp was born.
Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe and Chinook hops make sure that this beer has a profile that will get everyone excited. It’s an IPA that will smack your tastebuds with the flavors that they crave.
My Thoughts On Braxton Revamp
The beer pours a golden-yellow/orange color with a big, frothy off-white head.
Aromas of fresh tropical fruit drift off the top of the glass, with a ton of bright citrus notes dominating the nose of this beer.
The taste is big, but “easy”. There is a massive blast of bitter tropical notes, with the light crisp body making this beer sit near perfectly on the palate. Defining the refreshing IPA category, Revamp is near perfect for a hot day when you are looking for something crisp, clean and full flavored.
