Bee free. Let the sweet sound of music take control and lift one to life!
A crisp, light bodied and slightly sweet balanced beer with subtle peach flavors and hop characters. This tasty twist on a traditional Kölsch style is brewed to be the perfect outdoor summer sipper, pairing perfectly with whatever you and your friends’ playlist has in queue.
Braxton knows what they’re doing, I think that’s pretty obvious – tasked with creating a summer beer that pairs as well with the hot sticky summer weather as it does with great music, they managed to rock out a beer that manages to take a German Kolsch base and lift it to new heights with the addition of honey and peach.
This beer was the official beer of the 2017 Bunbury Music Festival, and had a prominent spot featured inside the Braxton Brewing Company Craft Beer Village, and the release party that the brewery held in their taproom on May 26th 2017 was as much about music as it was about the beer itself. These folks don’t joke around when they say they love local music.
My Thoughts on Braxton Buzz
Light in color, an orangish-yellow with a nearly white head – this beer looks the part of summer beer perfectly.
On the nose of the glass you get a nice hit of honey and grassiness… it’s nice and intrigues me more than I expected it to.
The taste is really good – when it’s cold I get a nice sweet honey backend that balances against the earthy grassy flavors. As the beer warms up, though, I’ve got a really big peach flavor that dominates and makes me want to drink this outside in the hot summer air. Really fun beer – and I hope that it returns next summer even if the brewery isn’t sponsoring the festival again!
