DAYTON, Ohio (October 13, 2017) – On Thursday, October 19th Warped Wing Brewing Co. will be releasing both draft and 12 oz. 6-pack cans of Flyer Red American Lager. A Red Lager with an ABV of 4.5%. Flyer Red is part of a fast-growing and ongoing, Lager-style series for the brewery.
“It’s not a leap to suggest that Ohioans own the sky”, said Nick Bowman VP/Sales & Marketing and Managing Partner at Warped Wing. “If you think about the major milestones and heroic icons that came from Ohio, it’s pretty remarkable. From the accomplishments of The Wright Brothers, to the Air Force and space program mavericks such as Neil Armstrong and John Glenn, we’re still barely scratching the surface of influence the state has had on aviation. And with Wright-Patterson Air Force base and Museum being right here, that puts us at the epicenter of all things airborne” said Bowman.
Copy on the Flyer Red can reads:
“Look up to a place beyond imagination. Where the few with a vision never knew the definition of “It can’t be done”. And, where human determination was not measured by monetary gain. But by an ardent desire to go somewhere first. Ohio. The owners of the sky. Where the American spirit lives on. Flyer Red. An American Red Lager. A refreshingly smooth, patiently-fermented beer. Because good things come to those who wait.”
With Warped Wing’s “Share a Pint Make a Difference” program, they will be donating a portion of the proceeds on all Flyer Red pints, 6-pks, posters and swag sold the night of the release party to the Fisher House. “The Fisher-Nightingale Houses are dedicated to providing an opportunity for military families to stay together and support each other when a loved one is undergoing medical treatment. The Fisher Houses provide physical and emotional support to our servicemen and servicewomen.”
To celebrate the can release, Warped Wing will be hosting a party on October 19th at 5PM in the brewery taproom. Flyer Red draught will be available to drink and 12 oz. 6-packs will be available for carryout. The beer will be released to retail partners Tuesday, October 24th.
