Last year kicked off a new event in Middletown Ohio that turned out to be one of the most fun beer festivals I have been to in a long time. I’ve talked before about how throwing a beer festival isn’t nearly as simple as it used to be. Gone are the days where you can just line up a few beer booths, pour some samples and expect people to pay their hard earned money for it.
Craft beer has grown, and it’s time to step up your game.
What Makes Hops In The Hanger Special?
This years event, which takes place on 8/10, is going to fulfill all you want in a beer festival, and then some.
To draw up a clear picture, first you need to understand why it’s called what it is. It’s a beer festival that takes place at Hook Field in Middletown. (That’s an airport, chief). The festival takes over one of the hangars, and the space outside for a festival that provides plenty of shade, and sunshine to hang out and grab a few tastes of some fantastic beer with your friends.
On top of that… there’s stuff going on. I’m talking acrobatic airshows, skydiving, drone demonstrations, heck, you can just walk around and look at airplanes too. It’s a freaking blast.
Food from four different food trucks will give you plenty of choice of what you want to snag to eat from barbecue to the amazing pimento cheese from Stellar Street Eats – and the beer? Yeah… there’s beer.
