They were among the pioneers in the Craft Hard Seltzer market in Cincinnati, and March First is finally making the jump to getting their Seltzer into cans. They announced recently the debut of ‘Astra’ – which is the finalized and perfected line of hard seltzers that they’re hoping will showcase what the category is all about to drinkers around Cincinnati.

Astra? What’s That About?

The brewery/distillery is all about celebrating Ohio and the things that make our state wonderful. In the Astra post on their website, they point out that Ohio is home to pioneers in a lot of different fields – notably in this case – Space Flight.

In fact… they note that Ohioans have spent more than 22,000 hours of combined time in outer space as astronauts. Astra? It’s a brand designed to celebrate and honor our unsung (and sung) heroes of space travel.

The Cans

These cans are freaking beautiful. Every can features an image from a NASA satellite or mission and feature beautiful artwork of galaxies, planets, nebulae, star fields and more… all captured by our space program. They’re stunning.

To launch the program, you’ll be able to buy cans of Saturn Peach and Bomb Pop flavored seltzer in January, and soon to come will be a whole squad of new flavors like Lemon Lime, Tropical Fruit, Grapefruit, Mango and more. Stay tuned… I’ll have more for you as these cans start hitting shelves!
