If you’ve never had the pleasure of experiencing one of their Local, Local, Local events, or god forbid experience the joy that is Arnold’s Bar – listen up. This is especially important for you. You’re going to want to go ahead and make sure you’ve got some time in your schedule on January 18th to get over to Arnolds!
On Saturday, January 18th, Arnold’s Bar and Grill is going to celebrate all things local with the latest installment of their yearly ‘Local, Local, Local’ event, which is designed to celebrate all things local – but especially local beer, and music.
This year’s event is the 11th time they’ve put it on, and it’s going to be the biggest that they’ve thrown, yet! Keep in mind… when they first started doing the event it was a little easier… 6 local breweries are much easier to showcase than the 184,495.3 that we have today. Luckily for Arnold’s (and us) they’ve expanded their draft system to accommodate it!
The Beer
It’s easy to celebrate beer in Cincinnati – our beer scene is absolutely killing it right now. But Arnold’s knows how to put their spin on it, and do it the right way. To start things off, you’ll find $3.50 pints on all of their local craft beers on tap, and they’re going to be tapping stuff from 20 different breweries that are located within 15 miles from the front door. To make sure you get the full experience, they’ll have plenty of owners, beer reps, head brewers or CEOs from nearly every single local Cincinnati brewery in the building to talk about their beer (and hand out some free swag, too).
You’ll find beers from:
- Braxton
- Brink
- Christian Moerlein/Little Kings
- Darkness
- Fifty West
- Fretboard
- Grainworks
- Karrikin
- Listermann
- MadTree
- Rhinegeist
- Streetside
- Urban Artifact
- Wiedemann
- (And plenty more!)
The beer specials start at 7pm, and the owners, brewers, etc all should get there around 8pm.
Local Music
It’s not a party without some entertainment… right? And it’s not Local, Local, Local without great LOCAL music. The bar is bringing in the Newbees, for what’s going to be a really great performance. In honor of such an awesome night, the band is pulling out all the stops and they’ve invited a full brass section to funk things up a bit. They’ll be accompanied by The Horn-Its for something really special that you’re not likely to see very often.
Food?
Look… you know how Arnold’s rolls. You don’t have Chef Kayla Robison and not offer up a special menu for the event. They’ll be serving up some special Appetizers and Entrees all infused with local brews. Even though the event doesn’t start until the evening – you’ll be able to snag the food menu all day.
Be there? Yeah… be there.
