In an effort to get their customer base out to vote, Rhinegeist has announced that they are launching ‘Every Vote Counts’ a statewide collaboration effort to make a difference as we head into election season. This is a joint effort between the Cincinnati brewery and the Ohio Secretary of State’s office (specifically VoteOhio.gov).

About The Collaboration

What better way to get the word out about registering to vote than by making a beer all across the state to shout it loudly? As of the press release, there had been more than 30 breweries across Ohio that have signed on to brew their own beer and participate in the program. It’s simple… brew a beer, any beer, and use the provided artwork and materials to help promote voter registration. It couldn’t be easier.

While, Rhinegeist is making a 6.5% ABV unfiltered hazy IPA, it could literally be anything from a participating brewery. Rhinegeist points out in the press release that they wanted to make sure 100% that the program was going to be as easy as possible to get other places to participate. They understand that breweries with deep ties to their individual communities, and have the ability to connect in a way unlike a lot of other businesses.

Raise A Glass To Democracy

‘Raise A Glass For Democracy’ launched last week. It’s a campaign for Ohio voter registrations that works closely with the Ohio Craft Brewer’s Association to target young voters between the ages of 21-40.

Rhinegeist is pushing hard to become a part of all of this. They point out that it goes well beyond party affiliation or specific views – but hits into the desire to make sure that all eligible Ohioans have the chance to have their voice heard, now and in the future.

The Release

Back to the collaboration beer itself. Rhinegeist is releasing their version of it on 8/24, and it will be available in the taproom as well as across Ohio. While the program is aimed at Ohio breweries, they’re encouraging anyone who wants to participate to participate. The point of it is to get voices heard.
