No… I’m not telling you that Arnold’s is going to try to replicate the magic that they have here in Cincinnati with a chain of bars around the globe, they’re doing something even cooler, they’re bringing the globe to you for New Year’s Eve this year.

Again… as I’ve said many times, I feel like I’ve started a lot of posts with the statement that 2020 has been hell. It’s been a rough year for a lot of us – and we’re ready to kick off a new year with the hopes that things will slowly get better. But… New Year’s Eve? When bars and restaurants are forced to close at 10 pm? This just doesn’t work. This isn’t how we want to kick off a year that we are desperate to be different than 2020. Arnold’s to the rescue.

New Year’s Eve 2020 At Arnolds

It’s a horrible situation to be in… you can set up all the proper ways for your customers to remain safe while in your establishment. Proper socially distance everyone, and be amazing at it… and yet, still… you have to kick them out of the door at 10pm. What can you do to give people a place to celebrate New Year’s when New Years isn’t allowed to be celebrated outside the home?

Arnold’s racked their brains on what to do, and came up with a solution so brilliant that only a place like Arnold’s could have managed it. New Year’s around the world.

While we can’t all hang out in the historic bar until midnight and watch the ball drop in New York – we can celebrate a new ball drop every hour from 6-10 pm as different timezones around the globe welcome in the new year. That’s right… 5 different midnights, all night long.

They’ll have party favors, hourly toasts and specials from chef Kayla Robison will pair up with live music from Diamond Jim Dews (5-7pm), and Deej (7:30-9:30pm).

Keep in mind… they are trying to keep things safe, so obviously this event will have limited space – the courtyard reaches it’s capacity at 30. They’re going to limit folks to a two hour window per seating, so make sure you get your reservations in now via opentable, or call the bar.

If you’re trying to plan your visit based upon the different “midnights” here’s what they’re celebrating:

  • 10pm – Midnight in Rio De Jainero, Brazil
  • 9pm – Midnight in Azores, Portugal
  • 8pm – Midnight in Reykjavik, Iceland
  • 7pm – Midnight in London, England
  • 6pm – Midnight in Paris, France
