Beer Brats, Beer Can Chicken… Miller Lite and Pringles? Yes, They All Go Together.
Written By: The Gnarly Gnome

If you’re a big brewery, and you want to catch the attention of me, a lowly lawn ornament that writes about drinking in Cincinnati, you’ve got an uphill battle in front of you. The folks behind Miller Lite have a little bit of a head start, with their brewery up in Trenton, Ohio – but it’s still an uphill climb. They figured it out, though, when this press release hit my inbox. They’re collaborating with a company called Kellanova, which might not sound exciting for you until you realize that Kellanova is the name of the parent company to Pringles.
Hang on tight for this one!
The Team Up
It’s underappreciated (at least in my book), the delicate interplay between what you’re drinking and what you’re snacking on. There are some snack companies that have it pretty easy – peanuts… I’m looking at you – they just work without any effort. There are some companies, though, that work really hard to crack the code between food and beverage. From what it sounds like, Pringles is nailing this one.
These two companies came together to inspire each other, and the resulting “innovation”, their words, not mine, is insanely perfect for the summer months. Two different cans of Pringles will certainly be making their way into my pantry.
The Flavors
Up first – Beer Can Chicken. Yeah, you heard that right. Savory, roasted chicken flavors with garlic, onion, and a touch of “Miller Light’s beer taste” – while the press release, and I might not be able to tell you exactly what that means. I’m flippin’ thrilled.
To sit right next to it, Grilled Beer Brat. My love for tubular meat has my heart beating quicker with this. Smoky, grilled bratwurst flavor, with black pepper, caramelized onion, “brown spice”, and a hoppy, malt-forward beer aroma. I might not really know what “brown spice” is… admittedly, but I know what a grilled bratwurst and a beer taste like, very well – and if you can make me a chip that tastes like it, I’m game.
Get ‘Em
These WILL be in my house this summer. If they’re terrible, I’ll only buy them once, but I have really high hopes for what they’re doing with ’em. That begs the question, though – when can we get them in our cabinets?
The nationwide rollout of the two different flavors is scheduled for May of 2025, and it’s important to note that they won’t be around forever; these are limited releases. Don’t wait too long until they’re gone! You can find all the places where you can snag them over at the Pringles website (www.Pringles.com).
I promise you, too… as soon as I have them in hand, I’ll be sharing out my thoughts!
