Rhinegeist Introduces ‘Fuzzy Bones’ THC Beverage

In the wake of (or maybe in the middle of) a bit of a strange and hectic period for THC products in Ohio, Rhinegeist has made the announcement that they’re getting into the space with the launch of their own line of THC beverages that they’re calling ‘Fuzzy Bones’.
This release is the result of two years of planning, with the brewery traveling around the country to figure to talk to customers, producers and retailers to figure out the absolute best way to craft their own version of the category that is currently growing exponentially.
The resulting drinks are not produced in-house by Rhinegeist; instead, they are teaming up with a contract partner in a process very similar to what they use to craft their line of non-alcoholic beer, which recently hit shelves called ‘Ghost’. Production of Fuzzy Bones requires a massive up-front investment, as they must be pasteurized due to the lack of alcohol. That’s no small investment, upwards of a million dollars, but the brewery is making it clear that they plan to build the infrastructure to do it themselves eventually.
They aren’t going into detail about who they are working with in the meantime, but my research points to a local producer right here in Cincinnati that has been at the forefront of the THC beverage business since early on. I could be wrong, of course, but I’d lean towards a guess that the Niche Beveage Company over in Northside is their contract partner (you know… Urban Artifact?).

The Fuzzy Flavors
There are three different flavors of Fuzzy Bones that are being released, all of them containing 5 milligrams of THC, derived from Hemp and coupled up with 10 milligrams of what they call ‘minor cannabinoids’, CBG or CBN. I’m not going to pretend to understand what that actually means, but in my limited “research” – it helps create a calming effect with me.
The brewery is no stranger to crafting great drinks with fruit flavors, through their line of ciders over the years, their short-lived line of RG Bevs, and plenty of other beers that have been fruit forward – I anticipate that each one of these is going to be pretty freaking delicious.
Lemon Blueberry
Finally, someone figured out what sunshine tastes like and canned it! Tart lemon electrified with blueberry goodness, and 5mg of THC paired with 10mg of CBG is perfect for a good fuzzy time. Chill fuzz, nice buzz.
Blood Orange Tangerine
Psst. You like citrus? How about a sippable citrus surprise suitable for serious and silly circumstances alike? Bright, citrusy flavors will get you smiling, and 5mg of THC paired with 10mg of CBG is the perfect recipe for a good fuzzy day. Sun’s out, fuzz out.
Blackberry Hibiscus
If chilling out was a liquid, this would be it. Juicy blackberries made a bit more mysterious with the addition of intriguing hibiscus. Not to mention 5mg of THC paired with 10mg of CBN is the perfect recipe for a good fuzzy night. Welcome to the fuzzy side of the moon…
Get ‘Em!
I’ve been excitedly waiting on these since I first started to hear rumors that they were working on them, and the good news for me (and you, I suppose) is that they’re avaialble NOW in the Rhinegeist taproom. You’ll start seeing them in a wider footprint, soon – but this first batch is limited and I anticipate will only be in their taproom (I’m also guessing it’ll go pretty fast) – so don’t wait to long to swing by to get some for yourself!
