I apologize. That was a little cheesy, wasn’t it? I’m all about a good pun for a post title, though. And as you’ll see in just a minute – it fits. We should talk about the road to get here… because it’s been a little, well… long.

The Journey – Again.

Finding a food partner has always been important to the folks at Alexandria Brewing Company. But, with the entire personality of the brewery riding on a few different factors, namely their family first, quality-driven focus – it’s not easy finding just the right partner.

When they parted ways with their previous partner in June they were forced to start that hunt all over again – talking to four different places to find a fit that met exactly what they were going for. It wasn’t an easy choice – but finally settling on The Peculiar Grill was a match that was made in food heaven. The restaurant focuses hard with its menu on quality, healthy options, and a commitment to being family-friendly with a fantastic kid’s menu. The brewery wrote in a recent blog post that they were looking for a place that could really become a food partner – not just a place that pays rent and feeds folks.

The partnership officially began back in early August, and they had really great plans in place to open their doors in September – but it’s 2020. It’s officially the year of things not working out like we hope them to. Evidently, getting a new exhaust hood installed during a pandemic is not as easy as one would think it should be… it was, well… a process (again – head to their blog post for more details on that).

A new grand opening was scheduled for the middle of October however – inspection difficulties delayed that as well… but, BUT they’ve got it set in stone this time!

The Grand Opening and A Sneak Peek

It’s finally a for sure thing. The Grand Opening of The Peculiar Grill at Alexandria is set for this Friday, 10/23/20. I included a photo of the menu if you want get yourself all excited about it, but what you can expect is some Burgers, Flatbreads, Sausages, Salads… it’s solid, and my mouth is watering as I write this.

Even better, too is a little sneak peek that they’ve put together. The official grand opening might be on Friday, but they’re doing a little soft opening sort of deal today and tomorrow to ramp up to Friday – so if you’re looking for an excuse to get out and grab some food and some of my favorite beer in Cincinnati… well. Go. Maybe you’ll even see me there.
