Brew Ash 2025 Is Quickly Approaching!

Summit Park might not know it, but it was built for events like this. The massive, 130-acre park in Blue Ash is home to MadTree Parks and Rec, Higher Gravity, a vibrant Dora district, and one of the area’s festivals that reminds me that you can still create a beer event that people will enjoy in 2025.

Brew Ash is approaching, and you need to make sure that your calendar is cleared for this!

It’s Not JUST A 5K

There are a few beer drinkers around Greater Cincinnati who still have a little misunderstanding about what this event is and what this event isn’t. To give them a little understanding, let’s first go ‘behind the curtain’ to the drinker behind this website.

I don’t run.

That’s not even a good way to put it. I despise running. I was once talked into running the Flying Pig as part of a ‘Cincy Beer Podcasters’ relay team, and I not only swore that I would never run again (unless being chased by a bear) but that I wouldn’t ever listen to any of the other Cincy Beer Podcasters, again.

I’d rather drink nothing but White Claw for the rest of my life than pick up some kind of “running hobby”.

That’s a huge misconception about what Brew Ash is, though – yeah, there’s a 5k “run/walk” as part of the event. But you don’t have to do that. You can, indeed – and I won’t judge you… In fact, a leisurely stroll through Summit Park sounds absolutely fantastic this time of year… but you don’t have to.

What IS It, Then?

Brew Ash is first and foremost – free. Show up to the park, hang out, enjoy the entertainment, and the experience, and it won’t cost you a single dime. Bring your entire family with you, in fact. This is a family-friendly festival, and Summit Park is an incredible place to spend time with your kids. In fact, there’s going to be a Kids Paper lantern craft from 3-5 pm and a Community Lego build from Brixaland going on during the event that I know my kids would love.

There’s live music all afternoon – and into the evening. Brother Smith kicks things off, and Crown Watts will be wrapping up the night, so if you just want to find a nice shady spot and listen to some great music, you’re covered.

The festival will also have some food trucks on site to make sure that you don’t get hungry (there are also plenty of amazing places that are right there in the park that you can grab a bite to eat).

It’s an O.F.F. Fall Market, so if you want to do a little shopping, you can. I mean… you can finally get that early start on Christmas gifts that you keep saying you’re going to do every year…

So what is it? I think you can understand that it’s a little bit of everything wrapped into one full, exciting day. I didn’t even mention the best part, either.

It’s A Freaking Beer Festival

It’s not a coincidence that the event is called ‘Brew Ash’ – beer plays a huge part in the whole event. The incredible folks over at Higher Gravity are curating the beer list for this festival, and if you know anything about Higher Gravity, you know that curate is the best way to talk about what makes them special.

Higher Gravity has one of the best places in this city to find a curated list of the best beers… and they’re bringing that same idea into the beer list for Brew Ash. I’m talking about more than 20 different breweries represented, including:

  • Fifty West
  • MadTree
  • Urban Artifact
  • Fretboard
  • Third Eye
  • Mellotone
  • Wandering Monsters
  • Streetside
  • HighGrain
  • Esoteric
  • Garage Beer
  • Jackie O’s
  • Columbus Brewing
  • 3 Floyds
  • Ciderboys
  • Rothaus
  • Sunflower THC

It’s going to be a ton of fun, and the perfect way for you to try some stuff that you’ve never had before. Remember the excitement of a festival where you got to hang out, get a little nerdy, and talk about beer with other folks who were as nerdy as you? It’s going to meet that, while also providing a space where folks who just wanna grab something fizzy and yellow to drink while they listen to some great music can feel welcome to do it.

Epic. It’s going to be Epic.

For more details, and to reserve your spot in the 5K (I won’t judge you and your “running hobby”), you can head to the website right here!

I’ll see you there!

Full Disclosure – I’m working with both Higher Gravity and the city of Blue Ash to help get the word out about this event. That doesn’t change any of my thoughts or opinions about the festival, though – as always when I write it comes from a genuine place of love for what they’re doing!
