Wiedemann’s taproom and brewery is located in the heart of St. Bernard. Hang with me for a second, because the location is in an old funeral home. I tell you that not because it’s creepy or haunted (I mean, it might be haunted, I don’t know), but I want you to be ready if you’ve ever visited the location in its past life.

The space is actually perfect for the Wiedemann’s brand. They’ve created a taproom that feels like it’s been around for a hundred years, a mixture of a neighborhood bar, a corner pub, and a small mom-and-pop restaurant. The walls are covered with Wiedemann memorabilia that showcases the long history of this local brand.

The menu in the brewpub is simple, easy, and affordable, again… perfect for the Wiedemann brand. They’ve done such a great job with this, and the result is one of the most underrated taprooms in the city (in my opinion).
