Braxton’s Opera Fest Will Have You Singing… If You Don’t Have Your Mouth Full.

There have been a lot of dessert stouts that craft breweries have made over the last decade or so… and to be frank, not all of them are worthy of conversation. Braxton’s Opera Cream Stout, though? It’s not just worthy of conversation, it’s worthy of it’s own party – which is exactly what Braxton has planned for ‘Opera Fest’.

This celebration brings together their Opera Cream Stout, and it’s variants (more on that in a minute) with the legendary Opera Cream Torte from Bonbonerie that inspired the whole thing.

While you certainly have to call this beer a dessert stout for obvious reasons, the biggest reason that I like it is that it still remains beer first. Opera Cream Stout manages to actually build a recipe that sure… it’s big, and sweet still uses the flavors of the torte to compliment the base recipe that sits behind everything else. It manages to elevate it to a new level. It’s not overpowered by it’s “dessertiness” – something that I wish some folks would take notes about.

The Variants

Here’s the thing – a party wouldn’t exactly be a party if all you had was ONE beer to serve. That’s why the team at Braxton is bringing a couple variants of Opera Cream Stout onto their taps, too. Of course you’ll be able to snag the classic on draft all day (and get yourself a six pack to toss in the fridge at home for those nights around the campfire this fall) but next to it are three more versions:

  • Opera Cream Stout with Vanilla
  • Opera Cream Stout with Caramel
  • Opera Cream Stout with Raspberry

The variants are draft only… which is why you HAVE to make you snag one from one of their taprooms before they’re gone!

The Celebration

Opera Fest is centered around their Factory 52 taproom in Norwood. While all the variants will be on tap across all their taproom spaces, the party is going to kick off at 6pm at Factory 52.

A live opera performance from the Cincinnati Opera will start at 6, and live music from ‘The Feels’ will take over at 7 to carry the celebration into the evening.

Of course… you know the Bonbonerie will be on hand, too with the inspiration itself – Opera Cream Torte.

Don’t miss it! Mark that calendar, now – 10/24/26!
