9 years ago when Jungle Jim’s International Market in Fairfield hosted their first BeerFest things were very different. Here in Cincinnati there were beer geeks, yes, but they were few and far between. Craft beer hadn’t taken off yet and Cincinnati beer was a relic of the past. What we knew of Cincinnati was stories about what the city was pre-prohibition or during the Hudy-Shoenling days of the 70s. No one looked to today and saw this renaissance coming, and yet, Jungle saw something.
Here we are… 9 years later staring at the biggest beer fest Jungle Jim’s has seen. 100 different breweries will be pouring more than 350 different beers for literally thousands of thirsty beer geeks, aficionados, and even curious newbies.
The beer section of Jungle Jim’s has recently undergone an upgrade, making it one of the best beer stores in the city…again. And more importantly, along with the international beer fest, barrel aged beer bash, and regular pint nights, making it clear to anyone who is paying attention that Jungle Jim’s takes it’s beer as seriously as we do.
The event is usually Father’s Day weekend, which this year makes the event June 13th and 14th from 7-10pm.
