No, fear not dear listeners… We haven’t been kicked off the internet – Yet. We have, however been hard at work, not only improving the show, but enlisting the help of some of the most talented people in Cincinnati beer to help improve it as well. The biggest change that you’re going to start noticing this week is the rollout of the new look.
Without going in to too much detail – let’s go into a little bit of detail about this new look of the brewcast, and also what other sorts of things we have up our sleeves!
The New Look
We reached out to Cincinnati beer design guru Thommy Long from Lemongrenade Creative to have him reimagine what Cincy Brewcast looks like. Not only did he come up with something fantastic, he blew us out of the water with his ability to understand who we are. You’ll start seeing the new logo around on all of our social media platforms, and show materials too.
I don’t want to go into a ton of detail about the logo, because if I have my way we’re going to have Thommy on the show in the near future. I would much rather have you as a listener hear about it all from him than me. I will say that I love it! The design dances around the idea of beer and broadcasting fantastically, and is far beyond what we could have ever imagined.
Reaching Broader
This first part of our Cincy Brewcast life has been a bigger success than any of us could have imagined. We never had any clue that so many of you would listen to this show, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We are still looking beyond, though. We want this show to keep reaching more and more people in the coming years, and you’re going to start seeing that more. Expect a visual presence around in some of our favorite taprooms, we’ve got some posters getting ready to roll out to announce our presence to the uninitiated!
The biggest way, though, that this show can grow is from you spreading the word. If you like what we’re doing, please tell all your friends. Subscribe on iTunes… Like us on social media. Share links around to everyone you know that is a beer drinker! We’re also working hard to get some new Cincy Brewcast swag that can help you spread the word.
The Dirty Word… Advertising…
As the show continues to grow, we are forced to look more into how to keep that growth on an upward swing. We have started taking our first “paid” ads in the show, started paying for our first ads around town and are always looking at the current model and how we can do it the “right” way. We want you to know as listeners that we will never let advertising money get in the way of what we are doing, and if you ever feel Ike it is… Please let us know.
All that being said – if you are a local business that wants to advertise, please shoot us a message, we’d love to talk. We are currently in the midst of a search for a local bar or bottleshops that would want to become a monthly host for a show, as well as receive some ad space on every episode. It’s a partnership that we’re hoping has the chance to benefit everyone… But it has to be done the right way.
Video
We have heard you loud and clear… You like video. Part of the “new” Cincy Brewcast is an increased dedicated to creating content that crosses over from the audio only portion of the show. We’re still working out all the details, and it’s a massive undertaking for a team of three people who are already stretched as thin as we can currently imagine being, but keep your eyes peeled for some exciting things!
So, there you go! It’s a new look, a continued focus to what is going right, and a hard look at what we need to improve. In the midst of all this change, please remember to let us know what you think. Your feedback, good and bad, helps us more than you know. We love this show and only want it to be the best it can possibly be.
