If you’ve never been to the Promont museum in Milford, Ohio you’re missing out. The museum is located in the historic Promont mansion, high atop a hill overlooking Milford, and is a great place to spend an afternoon. If you’re here, though… Chances are you’re a fan of beer, which is why I’m going to focus on an event that the Milford Historical Society is putting on.
What’s Happening?
Called ‘Thirsty 4 History”, the event has a little bit of everything to make for a great afternoon.
Beer?
- Ei8ht Ball
- Old Firehouse
- Fat Heads
Food?
- Lehr’s Prime Market
- Village Pantry Catering
Music?
- Round Bottom Road Bluegrass Band
- Phyllis Staley, Classic Country
The event will also feature a split the pot raffle and a silent auction, topped off with some informal Cincinnati beer history discussions and tours of the Promont Museum.
It’s all part of an effort from the Greater Milford Area Hiistorical Society to help introduce more people to not only the society, but to the mansion itself, which was built in 1865.
