I can’t find much of a commercial description of Cellar Dweller Eye Opener, but that doesn’t say anything about the beer itself.  The brewery started putting this out in 22oz bombers, and it proved to be so successful that it was a very short time later that the 12oz format started popping up around town.

My Thoughts On Cellar Dweller Eye Opener

This beer is a big, chocolate, nutty, coffee stout.  If you are fan of dark beer – this is most certainly for you.

The nose right off the bat reminds me of a thick heavy latte from that big coffee place with the mermaid logo.  It’s a reminder of a sweet breakfast beverage and worth the price of admission by itself.

Flavors put it over the top and into my ‘Love’ category.  Sweet, roasted hazelnut flavor complemented by a sharp coffee flavor to balance it out.  Very crisp character, with a lingering finish.  This is lovely.
