Brewery – Listermann
Beer – Zoo Babies
Style – NE IPA
ABV – 6.8%
Yearly collaboration with the Cincinnati Zoo, NE IPA brewed with Citra, Amarillo and Waimea hops.
It’s not a secret that Listermann Brewing Company loves the Cincinnati Zoo, from Fiona, Kendi and Polar Bears… Zoo Babies is just one in a long line of collaborations that the two have worked together on.
It’s also not a surprise that these guys love their NE IPAs, they were the first in town to dive as headfirst into the style and the “release lifestyle” that can come along with it.
First released in 2018, this beer has become a yearly tradition as the zoo welcomes a new group of babies each year… keep your eyes open!
My Thoughts On Listermann Zoo Babies
The beer is a beautiful orange color with a foamy white head on top.
Aromas are full of fresh citrus, with a blast of oranges, and tropical fruit hitting my nose.
The taste? Nice and soft with a lingering sweet fruitiness. I get a load of pineapple and orange with just a short blast of bitterness to clean the palate out. Really nicely done, and a great example of Listermann’s NEIPA prowess.
