In another perfect representation of what they stand for – Williamsburg’s Old Firehouse brewery is prepping to host a benefit for fallen Clermnont County Officer Bill Brewer who was shot and killed in a SWAT standoff in early February.

Because I feel extremely strongly about events like this and their role in the craft community – I wanted to pass the information on to you so that you were aware of it (and could head out to have a pint or two in support of a great cause).

Old Firehouse has established a name for themselves with their dedication not just in creating great beer for their fans to enjoy, but in their dedication to giving back to their community when times call for it.

The Event

The benefit will run from 6-10pm on Saturday, March 9th at Old Firehouse. The event is co-hosted by Summit Funding and Ragan McKinney a local realtor. There will be comlimentary food and beverages for any attending first responders and General admission is going to be $10 per person.

The event will include dinner at 6:30, followed up with drinks, live music and a silent auction to raise some money – of which all of the proceeds will go to Brewer’s family.

They are encouraging you to RSVP to the event by emailing Megan at MSoell@summitfunding.net – and if you aren’t able to attend the event, but would like to contribute still – there is a GoFundMe set up where you can do just that.

If it’s been a while since you’ve visited OFB, it’s hard to argue that this isn’t a great opportunity to find your way back to Williamsburg to see what they’ve been up to!
