Bellefontaine, the county seat of Logan County, is the highest elevation point in Ohio and a community of 13,000+ people located in West Central Ohio. The community is centered among a number of popular tourist destinations including Indian Lake, Mad River Mountain, The Holland Theatre and a strong industrial base of employers like Honda.
Brewfontaine, voted by Craftbeer.com as the #1 Craft Beer Bar in Ohio three years running, will be expanding its team and culinary capabilities for catering, weddings, corporate events, and private parties with the addition of BrewfontainePremier Events, a new catering and events arm of the business.
?The support and feedback from the community have been overwhelming?, says owner and co-founder Adam Rammel. ?The community asked for a local venue to host meetings, celebrations, and events and we?ve been working hard on developing the plans for the past two years.? Rammel added, ?When the venue is not reserved for private events, it will be used for live entertainment and ticketed events for wine dinners, cooking classes, food pairings and more.?
The venue will allow for interior and exterior?celebrations for hundreds of guests with the flexibility to install a tent for even larger events in a secluded area outside.
The name, The Syndicate, pays homage to the historic site where the new building is being constructed which was home to Jackson?s News Stand. The newsstand operated by the Jackson family was a popular local destination for newspapers, magazines, gifts, and candy in Bellefontaine for more than 40 years. ?Jackson?s was a center of activity and community staple for my grandparents, parents and I grew up said co-founder, owner, and Bellefontaine native Jeramy Fitzpatrick. The original Jackson?s newsstand sign will be repurposed in the Beer Garden now affectionally named ?Jackson?s BrewStand.?
Located at 213 S. Main Street, the building will feature a large main street-facing patio, roll up garage doors,?a brick-lined entertainment stage on the inside,?and outdoor stage in the beer garden. The design of the project has been a collaboration between Mote & Associates of Greenville, Ohio and Revival Design Studio of Celina.
The inside of the building will feature 28 feet soaring exposed ceilings, a New York-style steel canopied newsstand, glowing quartz countertop?bar, and polished concrete floors. ?Co-founder and?owner Brian Wall say that guests will be pleasantly surprised by the big city feel in small Ohio town.??The Syndicate will have a modern feel but all of the Small Town hospitality we can provide. You will want to visit again and again just to see what?s happening on any given day or time.??
Downtown Bellefontaine has become a vibrate dining and shopping scene with the redevelopment of more than 30 historic buildings?housing?many new shops and retail stores,?and 24 new residential loft apartments.
