It’s been a big year for Fretboard. If you somehow missed the news, you’ll be excited to see that they have announced that they’re prepping to open a second location in Hamilton, Ohio, taking over the old Quarter Barrel space, and partnering up for a new brewpub (you can read more about that here).

Even with their big news, and with my recycling bin full of a year’s worth of some great packaged releases from the last twelve months, it’s still hard to believe that they’re wrapping up their second year in business.

I think it’s a fantastic time to offer up some props for who this great brewery is, and who they’re becoming, and an anniversary is a prime chance for us all to do just that!

The Celebration

You know Fretboard, and you know that their party isn’t going to be much without some live music – and indeed it revolves around just that. The brewery is enlisting some of the area’s finest talent, who alongside a couple great national touring acts will be reminding you exactly what they love about music and beer together.

November 8-10th is gonna be epic. The taproom is gonna get busy, it’s gonna get loud, and you’re not going to want to miss it! They’re leaning onto the genres that you’ve come to expect when you grab a stool at their bar. From jam bands, to funk based rock… you’re gonna love this!

The Schedule

Friday, November 8th – In addition to the live music, Friday will feature a beer release. They’re putting their hit winter warmer in cans for the first time. ‘Drummer Boy’ is an awesome 8% ABV beer loaded up with honey, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger and orange peel. It’s a perfect way to welcome in not just year three for Fretboard, but for the warmer weather that we’re about to get smacked in the back of the head by.

Saturday, November 9th – Colemine Records Night. Saturday is the kick-off to a new relationship between Colemine Records in Loveland, and Fretboard. This partnership will flourish in the coming years with new artists looking for a place to perform as well as Fretboard always on the lookout for local talent!

  • GA-20

Sunday, November 10th – Sunday is going to feature live music as well as the Frets for Vets charity fundraiser that will hopefully kick off some awareness for Cincinnati-based veterans who are homeless or in need of assistance. It’s the perfect way to round out a big weekend!
