Pretentious Barrel House; the original, all sour brewery of Columbus, Ohio; is pleased to announce they’re hosting the Pretentious Public Market on Saturday, March 28th from 1-4 pm in their barrel room, located at 745 Taylor Ave, Columbus, OH 43219. Local vendors include Art and Alibi, crafting Ohio-themed memorabilia; Inked & Screened, presenting posters and apparel; Plant Joy Studio; and many others. Admission is free and families are welcome.
“We’ve assembled a great group of artists and makers for this market. A wide variety of products and styles are represented, and all the makers are from Central Ohio,” says Michelle Dranschak of Riverlane Studios. “I’m excited to sample some beers, spend time with the artists, and kick off the spring season together.”
Established in October of 2017, Pretentious Barrel House is the first brewery in Columbus to specialize exclusively in barrel-aged sour ales. Their extensive knowledge of the symbiotic relationship between beer and wood results in consistent, quality sours. By manufacturing a wide range of beer along the sour spectrum, consumers can ease their way into this unique style. Pretentious Barrel House’s goal is to produce award-winning sours that change people’s perspectives regarding craft beer.
