Balanced, dry, and effortlessly complex, Whiffle is a refreshing riff on a traditional Belgian Witbier. Airy wheat and bright citrus aromas drift in and give way to a crisp, ardent breeze bearing notes of tangerine and subtle spice—a breath of fresh air.

Released on Valentine’s Day, 2020 – this beer gives us a lot to love. Not only is it freaking tasty, but it also signals the oncoming warm weather that pairs so nicely with a crisp witbier. The beer is designed to be refreshing, bold but remaining drinkable and downright sessionable.

My Thoughts on Rhinegeist Whiffle

Witbier is one of those styles that I haven’t spent a lot of time diving into, but have always enjoyed as the weather starts to turn… and Rhinegeist Whiffle has reinvigorated my love for the style.

In the glass, it’s bight yellow and hazy with a big, delicious-looking, fluffy white head on top.

Aromas are packed full of spicy clove and citrus fruit.

The taste is a great example of what I want to find myself sipping on for a cool spring evening on the porch. The spice is definitely present, but it plays in a wonderful balance with the fruitiness. The beer is really easy-going, coming in at a nice low 5% ABV – this is a beer that I could knock back a few of.
