I hope Chicago is ready for this… the beer-loving Illinois city will be getting a little piece of Cincinnati this spring as Rhinegeist expands their distribution in one of their biggest expansions in a long time. The brewery will bring its full line of products as they hit the road – including their year-round releases and their limited and seasonal brews as well. We’re talking everything from favorites like Truth and Bubbles to the absolutely fantastic lineup of barrel-aged and sour beer programs.

To make the move possible, the brewery is teaming up with Windy City Distributing, Chicago’s largest craft distributor and member of the nation’s largest beer distributor network under Reyes Beer Division.

I get a little excited when our breweries get the chance to spread their wings a bit, and share the great things that are happening here in town to the bigger beer world outside of our bubble.

In Other Rhinegeist News…

With the news of the big Chicago expansion, it’s easy to overlook the fact that Rhinegeist is also releasing some fun new products as well.

I hope that everyone has seen by now the revamping of their cider lineup – of which we’re about to seen a new seasonal, called Bloom hit shelves around town.

Not a cider drinker? Well… you’re in luck. The brewery is rolling along with their unfiltered IPA series a few times a year, and just announced that they’ll soon be releasing a new sour ale too, called Glow. This sessionable ale is right up my alley, and you know you’ll be hearing me ramble about it a bit once I get some in my hands!
