When Cartridge Brewing released their first bottle in their special release series, dubbed the ‘Motto Series’ – I put together a blog post to hopefully shed some light on why it’s so special to them. Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout

Big, Boozy stout brewed just for this barrel, where vanilla, coconut and dark sugar come screaming through with bourbon-warm richness. – Released in March 2022

Motto: Strength Through Support

Bourbon Barrel-Aged Coffee Imperial Stout

Sweet, nutty Brazillian beans from Seven Hills take flight alongside elemental bourbon notes of vanilla and caramel, for a fresh-bag-of-coffee salute to stout. – Released in May 2022

Motto: This We’ll Defend

Bourbon Barrel Aged Chocolate Brown Ale

Aged in Woodford Reserve barrels. Special yet sessionable – drinks like an Old Fashioned, with bourbon aroma and flavor. Full of character, but without the big, bold, richness typical of barrel-aged stouts. Notes of caramel and milk chocolate, with a little vanilla and burnt sugar. – Released in November 2021

Motto: Tropic Lightning

Tequila Barrel-Aged Hollow Point

Our signature hibiscus ale is reborn in a Tequila barrel, now strikingly similar to dry rosé, with subtle strawberry-rhubarb tart and sweetness. – Released in January 2022

Tequila Barrel-Aged Cartucho

Our crisp, clean, Mexi-style lager transformed in a Tequila barrel, now with a bit of sweetness, bold Tequila character, and summer vacay vibes. – Released in March 2022
