Donut. Beer. Two words that raise the heart rate of every craft beer fan. The collaboration between West Chester’s Grainworks Brewing Company and Holtman’s Donuts last year was a smash hit – so much so that the duo couldn’t help but team up again this year for the return of their Lime Coconut Donut and its “sister beer”.

If you missed out on this one last year, well… you missed out. The beer from Grainworks is a Gose. It’s lightly tart and refreshing – loaded up with flavors of lime, alongside toasted coconut (and a few other secret ingredients to make sure it stays true to the donut theme). The resulting beer matches the Lime Coconut Donut from Holtman’s, while still managing to stand tall and proud as a delicious beer on its own.

Grainworks made sure this year to make even more of this crowd-pleaser, to make sure that more of you have a chance to try it for yourselves… but don’t wait too long, it’s certainly not going to be around forever. In fact, you should probably make sure you schedule a little time this weekend.

The Release Event

Grainworks is hosting a free event in their taproom on Saturday, May 14th from 2-4 pm. At the event, you’ll not only be able to purchase the beer – but Holtman’s will have a bunch of the donuts available for purchase as well. Pair them up… it’s how they were meant to be!

Here’s the good part – while the donuts will be $2 if you just wanna buy one – they’re free if you buy a pint or a four-pack of the beer. Keep in mind… it’s first come, first served until they’re gone – and you know donuts never last long.

The beer will make its way out into distribution next week – so if for some reason you miss out… you can still stop by your favorite bar or bottleshop and hopefully snag some there!
