I didn’t think it was possible to improve upon something that is already so flippin’ great. Pretzels and beer were born to be togehter, and they’ve spent a long time doing their thing near perfectly. Then this happens. Along comes a company like pretzels.com who has the idea to kick things up a few notches, and my home bar snacks are now elevated to a new level.
I love when I get the chance to work with companies like this! Pretzels.com has a genuinely awesome product that I’m absolutely thrilled to talk about. They aren’t sponsoring the blog, and this isn’t a sponsored post… but the links that are held within are affiliate links, so while you save a few bucks… I also make a few – it’s really a win/win scenario for all of us – PLUS… it includes awesome pretzels.
Why These Are Amazing
Pretzels.com combines everyone’s favorite snack with more than 46 different flavors to create something insanely tasty, and seemingly built to pair up with your favorite beers (we’ll get to that in a second). They wouldn’t have accomplished anything with their seriously talented ‘Pretzel Chef’ – Kate.
After going to culinary school, Kate focused her attention on her favorite snack, determined to make her mark, and improve upon it’s already incredible character. I think that if you give them a try, you’ll see for yourself why I’m so crazy about them!
This family run company is inspired to take your snacking to a whole new level – and they’ve definitely done that for me… which we need to chat about.
Giving Them A Whirl
Pretzels.com sent me a great little sampler pack of a bunch of their flavors… and I cracked open a few beers just to see how they paired up – I tried:
- Bacon Bourbon Jam
- Backyard BBQ
- Loaded Nacho
- Beer Cheese
- Lager
- Tangy Mustard
And I’ve gotta be 100% honest… they were all amazing. The standouts for me were the Tangy Mustard and the Loaded Nacho – but when it comes to picking one to snack on with your latest beer tasting party I’m not sure you can really go wrong.
I’d go as far as to say that the only wrong way to do this is to end up with just one flavor in the first place. I think a big part of the fun about doing a tasting like this is to see how things taste together. So… instead of telling you which ones are going to taste better paired up – I’m going to instead encourage you to load up not only on a bunch of pretzel flavors, but of a ton of beer styles, as well.
Get yourself a light lager, a dark lager, something stouty, something hoppy – you know the drill. Try to keep things varied and exciting. Set out a little spread for you and a friend or two and snack away, you’ll thank me later!
