Cider Gets Sessionable At Northwood!

Craft fans are clearly craving lighter, easier drinking options. It isn’t just this summer, and it isn’t just limited to craft beer fans, either. Drinkers on all ends of the spectrum have shown that it’s a shift that they are trying to make more often – and places like Northwood are definitely paying attention to them.

The dedicated cider producer, located in Norwood, is prepping a release of three new ciders, including what they are billing as the region’s first session cider, all in cans, just in time for the summer heat wave.

Let’s dig in!

The New Ciders

Violet – Sweet Cider – Sweet, floral lavender and spicy, zesty ginger mingle to create a beautiful fusion of flavor and aroma. It’s 5.6% ABV and was released on June 20th.

Rosie – Semi-Sweet Cider – This rosé-style cider is made with raspberries, making it refreshingly tart with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s 5.5% ABV and was released on June 27th.

Sesh – Session Cider – The region’s first sessionable cider, made with guava fruit and clocking in under 100 calories, it’s 4% ABV and is being released on July 7th

The Release Event

To celebrate the big release of ‘Sesh,’ the cidery is throwing a Havana Nights party. A food truck will be on hand, alongside plenty of summer games, on July 7th from 4-11 pm. They’re hoping that the event will get the point across with this new cider that while it’s great to be enjoyed anytime – it really shines when you’re celebrating. If you find yourself by the pool, or a campfire, hanging out with friends and family, it’s going to hit the spot perfectly with its easy-drinking personality and fresh, all-real fruit.

The ciders will, of course, be available in the taproom on their release dates and then will start to appear on store shelves in southwest Ohio in the coming weeks. Make sure you get out there and give it a try and let me know what you think!
