Hot, summer sunshine coupled with a tall glass of cold iced tea? That’s a thing of beauty, and one of life’s simple joys, isn’t it? When I couple that up with the increased interest that I’ve been experiencing from the range of “hard teas” that have started popping up on the market, it’s a recipe for a great summer.

It’s also why I’m so interested in this one: Betty Booze, a celebrity-backed vodka iced tea with two flavors that is hitting shelves this summer.

Meet Betty Booze Vodka Iced Teas

Betty Booze is bringing together a combination of black tea, fruit juice, agave, and a corn-derived vodka. The cocktails are both non-carbonated, clean… and will be perfect for the season.

The two flavors that are being introduced are:

  • Vodka Iced Tea with Meyer Lemonade
  • Vodka Iced Tea with Passion Fruit

Their use of no artificial ingredients and no gluten means that the cocktails are crisp, and refreshing without any weird aftertaste like you’ll find from some canned beverages.

They have gone to great lengths to make sure that these drinks are crafted to reflect the care of a high-end cocktail bar.

Why You Should Pay Attention

This is the first release from Betty Booze that leans into vodka-based cocktails, with their previous releases all using tequila and bourbon. It’s a clear sign that the brand is looking to create an emphasis on variety, sort of like a “bar in a can” for folks at the bbq, the beach, or by the pool.

With the non-carbonated approach, they’re also expanding beyond the typical sparkling beverages to satisfy the many different preferences that drinkers have, today.

Don’t Take My Word For It

While I THINK you should always trust me that a product is either good, or that I anticipate it will be good, but you don’t always have to take my word for it. Both of these products are already bringing home medals to prove that they’re what they are setting out to be.

The Meyer Lemonade won a Gold Medal, and the Passion Fruit won a Silver Medal, both at the recent New York International Spirits Competition.
