NE IPA with Zythos, Citra, Galaxy, and Lemondrop.
This beer was released on 8/5/17 as part of Listermann Brewing Company’s ‘Hip Hop Series” – released alongside ‘Lil Jimmy”, part of their “Pet Series”. Much like all their can releases tend to roll, people lined up around the block to get their hands on this limited release beer.
This one did get a little bit released to local bottle shops via a tiny bit of distribution – but it was certainly limited, and with most of their releases, you never really know when/if you’ll ever see it in packaging again!
Another notable point about this release is that it also marked the first release to feature the new branding for Listermann Brewing Company. The brand features bold artwork that takes the stage away from the brewrey’s logo. This art first smorgasbord of branding creates a brand unto itself, and is unlike anything else that is being done in Cincinnati right now.
My Thoughts on Listermann Bring The Hops
This pours a muted, hazy, golden color with a thin white head.
Aromas are melon, and a light floral note that gives way to a lemony freshness.
The taste brings a big mouthfeel into the equation, but that doesn’t stop the beer from feeling light. It’s full of the melon and lemony freshness that I got in the aroma, but also packs a nice background of a bread flavor that balances it out. It’s got that signature NE IPA fruitiness that makes so many people fall in love with the style. Fruit juice, while still remaining crisp and a bit ‘hoppy’.
