Happy Birthday, Rhinegeist! As one of the fastest growing breweries in Cincinnati, it’s hard to believe that within all the brewery openings and increased awareness that craft beer is demanding here in town, that our Rhinegeist is only three years old.
The brewery is celebrating the event on June 25th, and using the opportunity to give their fans a massive thank you party! The party will take place from noon until 2am, and if you look at the tap listing… You’ll want to spend a little bit of time there to get your beer glass under some of these!

What To Expect?
Ok, so besides the beer, what else can you expect to find at this year’s party? Well, Rhinegeist has decided to turn the celebration up a few notches with this year’s event. They have told us that the event will feature live music, DJ’s, and what they are calling a “bevy of activities”. The rooftop deck will be open (weather permitting) of course, and they are decking every bit of the brewery with bits of “wild Ephemera” with an eye toward summer camp and the great outdoors.
Co-Founder Bryant Goulding has said that he hopes the event will leave people with a sense of awe and wonder, and a newfound pride in what they’ve helped Rhinegeist build over the last three years.
It Wouldn’t Be A Party Without A Bottle Release
What’s a party without a party favor? Visiting the Rhinegeist party, you’ll be able to purchase this year’s anniversary beer – called Trips to round it all out. The beer is an American Sour Ale, clocking in at 7.5% and 12 IBUs.
The brewery has said that the beer is helping them chart some “tarter” territory. They added some sour cherries and currants during fermentation for what they have referred to as a “maelstrom of fruit and sour power”. The beer is also going to be making its way out to distribution in bombers on Monday, 6/27 – so even if you don’t make it to the event, keep your eyes peeled!
