Rare are moments of truth, when you’ve struck the last match, belting out tunes with your friends, staring deep into the campfire – times when you feel infinite. Our Truth is found in the scintillating brilliance of hops. Brewed with a nod to the Pacific, hops sizzle with tropical fruit aroma, grapefruit and mango notes and a dry finish.
Definitely my favorite offering from Rhinegeist, and maybe even my favorite local beer…Truth is a wonderful IPA. Big…Bold and full of all the bitter grapefruit notes that you expect. The flavors of sweet tropical fruit dance around the bitterness with an underlying caramel breadiness that helps balance it all out.
If you have anyone who still hasn’t caught the “IPA bug” quite yet…this might be the one to do it. The advantage of it being local is that you will get it fresh, the downfall of a lot of big IPAs. This will provide the best bright flavors from the hops. Get a six pack of cans and a friend or two and give it a go.
This goes wonderfully with some spicy Mexican food in my opinion, but is just at home with a light salad, if that’s your thing…although, nobody will fault you for just drinking it by yourself sitting in a hammock in the sunshine.

Still can’t come at the can thing.
As long as your pouring it into a glass… I challenge you to do a blind side by side comparison. It will change your opinion.
OK. I’ll try.By the way, it’s a great blog. Nice colour, a decent sparkle and just enough froth to collect the aroma.
I still don’t like cans.
