This week is going to have a few fun things going on here in the city…the standout for me?  The first bottle release from our Gypsy Brewer’s known as Quaff Brothers.  They have teamed up with local favorites Listermann Brewing for a S’more’s themed beer known as S’more Of What?

If you missed it a couple weeks ago, Jason Brewer documented the process they went through with getting labeling approved for the beer, which shines a light on the process that many of us never really get to see, which I enjoyed.

The beer is a marshmallow stout, aged in bourbon barrels and in the words of Jason is:

Made to imitate a s’more and it’s nothing short of fantastic. It’s slightly smoky, really chocolatey, nice and bready and has a hint of marshmallows.

The party is going to be at Ei8ht Ball Brewing, Monday evening starting at 5:00.  You’ll be able to get bottles of the beer from the beer desk, and the beer will also be available on tap in Ei8ht Ball’s taproom.  If you can’t make the release at Ei8ht Ball, you’ll be able to buy bottles at Listermann on Tuesday.
