Part of their limited release can series, Handlebar is a “double stout” through and through.  This beer is full of roasty and chocolate flavors topped off by a hop bitterness that brings to mind a bittersweet chocolate.  This will catch up to you pretty quickly with it’s robust alcohol content, though the very same will do well to warm you up on a cool winter evening, as well.

Christian Moerlein is really bringing their skills to a new level with some of the beers (this included) in their new limited release series, for a brewery that was known for so long for their traditional German-Style beers, it’s surprising and very welcome to see!
