Fans of Moerlein’s ‘FC Cincinnati Blood Orange IPA’ will be really happy to wake up to this news this morning. The brewery is teaming up again with FCC to release a beefed up version of this summer’s popular fruited IPA in 22oz bombers. They’re of course going to throw a release party to go along with the beer release.
About The Beer
Because the original version of this was such a hit, the brewery didn’t want to stray to far from what worked with this beer, instead opting to just take it all to a bigger level. The beer is said to have a robust, and complex take on the original Blood Orange IPA.
It clocks in at 8.5% ABV, compared to the 6% ABV of the original IPA. They are saying that this beer includes hints of lemon and robust amounts of Citra and Cascade hops.
You should be able to find this not just at the launch party, but soon thereafter at select Kroger stores, and specialty beer outlets across the city. It’s going to retail for $9.99 and will come in 22oz bombers (I think I told you that part already…).
The Launch Party
Mark your calendar for November 17th from 6-7:30 at the Moerlein Malt House in OTR. You’ll get a chance to meet not only folks from Moerlein, but FCC players and front office staff as well. To step things up for the event (much like the beer) they’re teaming up with the Freestore Foodbank to do a canned food drive too. All fans who bring along a canned food item will be invited to enter their business card into a drawing to win a copy of the new book ‘Rise Together: Celebrating FC Cincinnati’s Inaugural Season’ which will retail for $39.95 when it is released in 2017.
Do Good. Drink Beer… Do good while you’re drinking beer.
