First off… if you missed the first Punch Out at Fifty West – Don’t make that same mistake again.  This was by far, easily one of if not the most fun beer event that I have ever attended in Cincinnati.  The great news is that it’s returning, and it’s even bigger this year to make it easier for you to attend.

About The Punch Out

This combination boxing exposition and beer festival is not something that is easily described, nor do I think that it’s one that requires much explanation, either.  They pair up amateur boxer/brewers with each other in a face off that has to be seen to appreciate.

Every brewery participating is briging two beers which will be on tap during the festival portion of the event, with tents lining up around the facility pouring beer all night for your tasting pleasure.

The production works undergoes a fascinating transformation for the event, with the volleyball courts giving way to a boxing ring, and for this year, a doubled capacity of 5,000 seats for you to sit and cheer for your favorite brewery.

The brewery teamed up again with Danny Calhoun from Punch House gym to help not only train the fighters, but to make sure that everything is safe and fun for everyone involved – even those who may lose their fights.

The Details

The tickets for the event go on sale this Friday, June 16th at 11am via Cincyticket.com – while the event itself is scheduled for July 8th at the Fifty West Production works from 4pm until midnight.

They’ve made sure through sponsors, Kroger, Chase Bank, Columbia Township and BC’s Bottle Lodge to make sure this event is even better than last year’s smash hit was.
