Earnest brew works — one of the fastest growing Northwest Ohio beer brands — is set to release two very special (and very different) beers: CEDAR and Between the Limes starting at 2 p.m. on June 8, 2019. Each 12-ounce bottle of CEDAR will be for sale individually, while 16-ounce canned four-packs of Between the Limes will also be available for purchase. Neither beer will have a purchasing limit.
CEDAR
Turkish Coffee Stout (13.2% ABV)
EBW worked with Abdul Hammuda from Toledo institution, Tiger Bakery, to develop the perfect balance of coffee and cardamon spice. Originating in the Mediterranean region, Turkish Coffee is a strong brew with spice and a touch of sweetness. EBW crafted this Turkish Coffee Stout with Arabica Coffee and cardamom spice — custom blended by Toledo’s very own Tiger Bakery. The aroma gives off that rich blend to the nose. CEDAR appears opaquely black, with a complementary thick body. As you take your fist sip, the mouth-filling, velvety liquid awakes you, reminding you of an expertly prepared Turkish Coffee. The slight sweetness will move you to take another sip. This will be released in 12-ounce bottles, available in select retailers and at earnest brew works.
Between The Limes
Hazy, Lime Tart IPA (7.2% ABV)
The hottest style in craft beer is a Hazy IPA. This is an IPA that has a pronounced hazy appearance and less hoppy bitterness. The tartness will come from lime zest/juice and a strain of lactobacillus, often used in tart and sour beers. That’s right, this beer contains Lactobacillus bacteria. Between The Limes was brewed with Citra, Mosaic and Motueka Hops. This will ONLY be available for sale in 16-ounce, four-pack cans, and ONLY at earnest brew works.
