This might be the culmination of what Urban Artifact was looking to do when they opened their doors. Their dinosaur series is a series of beers that combine their personality of heavily fruited sour beer with spontaneous fermentation.

Using a custom blend of wild-caught yeast, aged in barrels – usually with a massively heavy dosing of fresh fruit as well – this series is spectacular, to say the least. You can read a lot more about what went into creating these beers over at Urban Artifact’s website.

The series was first kicked off in late 2017 when the brewery released one at a time their first two beers, Beipiaosaurs and Pteranodon – since then, things have kept going at a great pace. They got even more fun in 2020 when they shifted up the packaging to open up four packs of little 6.3oz bottles. This allows a little more flexibility for the consumer to decide if they want to age some, or crack some open fresh. You can still get most of the beers in larger 750ml bottles, too – just in case you need to crack something open at a table with your friends and share!
