The lines between brewery, bar, and taproom are continually blurred… I know that regardless of what I consider the new BrewDog space in Pendleton, it’s going to draw a disagreement from someone – and I can 100% say if you disagree with how I classify them, I probably agree with you to some degree.
With that out of the way – They are finally getting ready to open their doors on Friday, 11/15/19, and the party they’re planning on throwing to celebrate the occasion definitely warrants you stopping by to see what this place is all about.
About The Taproom
This place is pretty massive. In fact, from what I’ve heard from BrewDog – it’s the second largest bar that BrewDog has opened in the United States so far. That says a lot about what we’re doing here in Cincinnati. The taproom is located at 316 Reading Rd, which is in Pendleton – just a quick hop and a skip from the casino – from OTR – from everything downtown, really. It’s a great location that has been begging for more places like this lately.
The taproom itself is 8,500 square feet, and is dog friendly per the typical BrewDog ideal. They’ve built a 24 tap bar that will feature not just BrewDog beer, but other local options as well, another signature of the Scottish born brewery. You can rest assured that you’re always going to find some spectacular things on tap here – even if you’re looking for something from one of our local breweries.
The space in the taproom is split into several areas – from the bar area to a separate “game focused” mezzanine which features everything from board games to arcade games. There is a rooftop space to enjoy the views of the city when the weather is tolerable, and they’re going to serve up elevated bar snacks to make sure you aren’t hungry while you’re there.
The Grand Opening
To celebrate the opening of the taproom, BrewDog is throwing a massive party that features a few fun things aside from the great Limited-Edition beer that you’ll find on tap.
They’re going to be raffling off a bunch of prizes for the first 100 people in the door too – including:
- A $500 BrewDog gift card
- BrewDog merchandise bundles
- A BrewDog beer fridge
- Two Night Stay at the BrewDog DogHouse in Columbus
If that’s not fun enough for you… the first three raffle winners who want a lifelong 20% discount on their beers have the option of getting a free BrewDog tattoo as well. That’s 20% off globally in any BrewDog Bar. If you’re already a fan of what they’re doing, why not get some ink to show the world?
