This one was a really fun surprise to me, and I thought it definitely deserved to be passed along to you when I heard the news that MPH, or Montgomery Public House, was teaming up with Colorado’s Left Hand Brewing Company. At first glance, it’s probably a surprise to you too… so let’s take a look at what it’s all about.

I’m A Bad Blogger…

I should have seen this one coming. I used to have a LOT more time to dig into the research phase of my “gnome-life” but the mass of little gnomes that have taken over my household have consumed every ounce of free time that I have, and alas… I’m a bad blogger these days.

If I had been on top of my game, I would have caught on that MPH’s General Manager, Jim Christmann and Eric Wallace (Co-Founder and President of Left Hand Brewing) are cousins. Of course they will team up to help introduce (or reintroduce) craft beer fans in Cincinnati to the beer’s of the fantastic brewery out of Longmont, Colorado.

About the Partnership

Left Hand shouldn’t be a new brewery to you if you’ve been drinking craft beer for any amount of time. The brewery is one of the pioneers of craft beer in this country – being founded 26 years ago in CO. They were the first craft brewery to launch Nitro bottled beers, and Nitro cans too. If you (for some reason) haven’t tried their beer… 29 GABF medals or their 11 World Beer Cup medals just might convince you to give it a try.

The brewery will offer up several taps of their beer alongside the house-brewed MPH beers that are already available at the Montgomery brewery. Starting June 12th you’ll be able to see why this brewery has gained such a following in the decades that they have been pushing the boundaries of what craft beer is, and can be.

I Need More, Gnome!

I know, I know… not only is MPH – sorry… Montgomery Public House – a new brewery, one that a lot of you haven’t had the chance to get out and explore, yet (stupid Covid BS…) but getting out and spending time in a taproom still isn’t anywhere close to a normal experience. I’m going to have some deeper dives into what this place is all about coming soon, I promise.

Not only have I been out to the taproom to check it out (and try a bunch of their beers…), but I’ve definitely got them on the list to get an episode of Cincy Brewcast recorded so you can learn a little bit about who they are and what they’re all about too.

In the meantime – you can always read more about them here on the blog – or you can head over to their social media to check them out too. Even better? Get out to Montgomery and have a pint or four to really get the full picture!
