Cartridge Brewing Company has only been open since late October, but they’re already doing big things. Folks have been raving about their food menu. Beer geeks have been excited to see a tap list full of lagers. If that isn’t enough to get you a little bit excited, well… their experimental beer series is what has my ears perked up for the summer and we should talk about it.
About The Tap Lineup at Cartridge Brewing
The folks at Cartridge have wasted no time in cranking things up with 20 varieties on tap continuously in their Maineville taproom. It’s been a creative free-for-all as the brewery has started to have fun with creating a tap list that pairs up with their awesome food menu.
For me, (and I’m sure a lot of you, too) a huge part of my excitement has been watching their focus on lagers grow over the last 7 months. The brewery is diving deeper into their German influence with Rachbier inspired golden lagers, Schwarzbiers, Helles Lagers… you name it. It’s been a dream come true for a lager nut like me.
But things haven’t been all about tradition at Cartridge… especially this summer things are getting pretty experimental up in there.
The Experimental Series
Brewer Adam Mills points out in a recent email that they are loving the chance to play around with some of their flagship varieties, too. They kicked out two different experimental batches in may – a hibiscus-strawberry ale and a mango-apricot IPA, and while they both allowed the brew team to flex their creative muscles a little bit – they were also gone in a matter of days.
It’s clear people think that these beers are tasty, and perfect for warmer weather.
You can expect to see plenty more beers like this coming this summer including one that was recently tapped – a Blackberry-Blueberry blonde ale.
Make Your Visit!
These folks have been busy trying to meet the demand of their fans. With an increased focus on creating space for you to just hang out and have a beer, take a quick detour from biking, or soak in a few minutes of sunshine, it’s the perfect time to make another stop out there.
You can always find out more about the brewery here on the website – or of course on Cartridge’s website or social media…. but go. Get out there and have a beer.
