It’s a complicated relationship, the one between brewery and distributor. Finding a partner that can grow with you and your brand while pushing you in the right ways as that growth happens is difficult to say the least. In a move that they hope will foster growth for the near (and far) future – MadTree is partnering up with a new network of distributors across the state.

Stagnaro

For those of you here in Cincy (or most of you) you’ll see MadTree being repped now by Stagnaro. If you haven’t heard of these guys by now, you’ve certainly had some beer that they carry.

The distributor is Ohio’s most diverse beer and non-alcoholic beverage distributor.

But when you start talking to MadTree – it’s clear that the diverse offerings of Stagnaro are not even the tip of the iceberg when it comes to why they made the choice.

MadTree is part of 1% for the planet, an initiative that sees its members giving 1% of their sales back to local non-profits. This idea is present at the core of Stagnaro, too. The distributor gives back a minimum of 2% of their sales to local organizations. It’s an idea that resonates with the MadTree ethos at a level that everything else is built upon.

The Rest of the State

For those of us on the northern side of Cincinnati – MadTree will be represented by BonBright – while the eastern side of the state will see Premium carrying their beer. As for those of you far Northwest – NWO Beverage group will pick up the task.

While cutting ties with Cavalier, who they’ve been with for the last 8 years is no doubt a big, daunting task for them, I suspect that you, the drinker shouldn’t see any difference. The beer will be just as available as it was before, and the same watering holes that you were drinking in will still carry them.
