If you still haven’t been down to the new 16 Lots taproom at The Levee in Newport, Kentucky, you should remedy that as soon as possible. In fact… Labor Day weekend might be a great excuse. The taproom (called the 16 Lots Southern Outpost) is planning a pair of events that will showcase what makes the taproom so much fun.

Drag Brunch

To kick off the weekend and help celebrate their first labor day in their spot, the brewery is hosting a drag brunch featuring some of the city’s most beloved and well-known performers.

The Southern Outpost is already one of the few places down at Levee that offers a weekend breakfast, which according to the brewery, made it a pretty easy call to make this event a brunch-centric affair. They’ll be featuring their already popular brunch fare, mimosas, and bloody mary bar.

The show itself will take place on Saturday, September 2, at 12 pm, and you can snag your tickets for $18 (plus the taxes and fees, of course). Ticketed guests are invited to show up as early as 10 am, to make sure that there’s plenty of time to enjoy drinks and dining before the show kicks off at noon.

The Fireworks

A huge advantage of the location of the new taproom is that they are in a prime location to view the big Western and Southern WEBN Fireworks. Their patio sits right over the river by the Purple People Bridge, and they knew they had to do something big this year to celebrate with the city.

At 4 pm on Sunday, September 3rd, they’ll host an event for the memory book. An all-inclusive ticket guarantees attendees a reserved seat for the annual Rozzi Fireworks display, an all-you-can-eat extravaganza, including a raw bar, a carving station, appetizers, and more. It also includes a parking discount for each group. You can get your tickets for this once-a-year opportunity for $199… and it’s going to definitely be worth it!

Following the fireworks, Dat Band takes the stage to rock for another two and a half hours, so you don’t have to head home early.
