It’s a hard place to explain to someone who hasn’t been there, but Jungle Jim’s is home to me. While we set up this show to give us a chance to talk about their upcoming Barrel Aged Beer Bash, we had to explore what makes Jungle Jim’s what it is. How can you take a suburban grocery store and turn it into a place like this? Even more importantly, how do you put in a random growler fill/tasting bar into the back of said grocery store, and turn it into a gathering place, or the local bar for so many people?
The truth with this, and most of the things that happen at Jungle Jim’s is that it just sort of happens naturally. I sat down with Jared Bowers and Ferdinand Sneed to explore these and the many other sides of Jungle Jim’s and their incredible beer department.
