They are still working on their space, with beer hopefully coming in the near future, but in the meantime Bridgetown Brew Works has published what will be their new name… Line 21 Brewing Company.
The name comes from one of the last 2 streetcar lines to be shut down in the city back in 1951, running from Westwood to Cheviot.
The brewery says that the beer names are going to stay the same with the brewery name change, which if you haven’t been paying attention, the beers are slated to be as follows:
- Oak Hills Lager
- Hairpin IPA
- Muddy Creek Wheat
- Bridgetown Hefeweizen
- Devils Backbone IPA
The brewery is going to have up to 9800 square feet under roof set aside for a Farmers Market type space that they are calling the Westwood Trading Company, which will give the community a place to call home, and provide a place for many local artists to sell their work.
While it’s currently nothing more than a place holder, their website has changed and can be found here.
