An explosively hoppy pale ale, Crash combines potent aromatics of Azacca, Equinox and Cascade hops to combust with tropicality, citrus, peach, tangelo & papaya – a kinetic and delicious hop explosion.

It drive me absolutely crazy when people rag on Rhinegeist for making “so many” pale ales.  I’m sorry…if a beer like this is a problem, you might not really like beer.  Yes, this is a roughly 5% ABV, and roughly 45 IBU pale ale, like a few others that have come out of the Over The Rhine Brewery…but this isn’t the same as anything else they have created.

This, the second of the ‘Power Pale Series‘, Crash is really something fantastic.

My Thoughts On Rhinegeist Crash

Pure, explosive, delicous tropical hop deliciousness.  I love when a brewery’s own descriptions really grasp all the flavors in a beer… and they’ve really knocked this one out of the park.

The aromas of this pale ale are dominated by a great tropical fruitiness that reminds me of a beach vacation, while the taste of the beer itself isn’t overly bitter.  It’s certainly well hopped, with just a hint of the malt that gives it it’s really beautiful orange and golden color.  This screams fresh, summer…breezy afternoons with a cold, fruity pale ale.
