It’s safe to say that it’s going to be a big year for Cincinnati Distilling. They’re making major progress on their new distillery/restaurant in Milford (The Millcroft) and they’re certainly doing a good job getting folks excited about the brand’s expansion by bringing home some serious hardware in this years US Open Whiskey and Spirits Championships

They brought home four different medals and the title of #2 Whiskey Distillery in the United States. I’d say that’s some serious bragging rights if I have ever seen them.

The Medals

The distillery won a gold medal for their Fire Brigade Cinnamon Whiskey. The whiskey is a collaboration with Sycamore Professional Firefighters Union Local 3907, and together they have raised thousands of dollars for the Muscular Dystrophy Association from sales and events surrounding it.

Silver medals were awarded for both the distillery’s Stout Cask finished Bourbon and Cincinnati Rye Whiskey while their Honey Whiskey took home a bronze medal.

These guys deserve the accolades, and I’m thrilled to see them keep growing – especially into their new space in Milford. The property will feature a working distillery, a tasting room, taproom, private event space, restaurant, rooftop bar… it’s gonna be pretty amazing. Keep your eyes on these folks!
