All About Dead Low Brewing
Dead Low Brewing turns their attention to their biggest neighbor for inspiration… the Ohio River. The term ‘Dead Low’ refers to the lowest possible water depth for a riverboat to traverse the river. The boats used to have a lineman on the front that would throw a line into the water to test the depth. These values would then be sung out in song form for the crew members to adjust the course of the boat. Onshore, river communities would learn boats by the song of their linemen.
This “old-time charm” is an inspiration for the soul of Dead Low.
What’s Dead Low Like?
Dead low is a big, open concept brewpub, with a huge deck and beer garden out back that separates (and ties together) the brewery and the taproom. From a large handmade bar to couches that overlook the beer garden, there are several ways for you to experience the vibe of the place in your own way. A wide variety gives the menu a little more importance than a lot of craft beer drinkers in Cincinnati might be used to and the beer is designed to be easy drinking and flavorful. A recipe for a great time if you ask me!
